Yellow

The memory of yellow I try now to build, to keep me warm through winter months. Remember the sun beating down in summer? Unless we climb a mountain in winter, where we can catch the sun's strength, we will be finding new sources of warmth and vitality in the coming months, by lighting candles or sitting by a fire...

Time goes by, but some things stay the same. I think that even in terms of our human lives, the measure of our "advance" is so very relative. Perhaps this is why one takes solace in the simple things. In any case, these two photos represent my contribution to Poppytalk Color Week.
